Welcome to the Tulane University Women’s Association, or as we like to say, TUWA! We connect our members and other Tulane affiliated people to support the Tulane community.
TUWA was founded in 1910 by spouses of the faculty and staff at Tulane University to connect members across generations by common interests, social events and service to Tulane University, Newcomb-Tulane and the City of New Orleans. Our members, past and present range from Tulane University and Newcomb faculty, staff, alumni, volunteers and their spouses, and Lusher Charter School parents.
For over a century, TUWA has been dedicated to promoting an atmosphere of growth and development in the Tulane and New Orleans community by offering our members opportunities to grow their personal interests and networks while also participating in giving back to our community. We provide forum for lectures, book clubs, artistic pursuits, exhibits, tours, activity groups, informative classes and conferences, and social events. Signature events include: the Jane and Herbert Longenecker Lecture, Fall Coffee hosted at the President’s House, annual Holiday party, and Tulane Women’s Athletic events to name a few.
We welcome you to join and become a part of our amazing TUWA community! New to the Tulane University Community? You are invited to attend our next upcoming event.
